The General Secretary of CISL-Dignite was an activist not only within the Ivorian trade union movement, but also within the African and international trade union movement.

As a matter of fact, Brother Mahan Gahe was a member of the Executive Bureau of DOWATU and former President of the World Confederation of Labour (WCL). He used to openly take position in favour of human and trade union rights.

ITUC-Africa pays tribute to this courageous trade union leader and takes this opportunity to present its condolences to the bereaved family as well as to CISL-Dignite and the Ivorian and international trade union movement as a whole.

May his soul rest in peace!

Kwasi Adu-Amankwah

General Secretary
