Background and Rationale
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) presents a unique opportunity for trade unions to promote labour provisions and ensure workers’ interests are reflected in trade policies. A toolkit has been developed to support trade union engagement in trade facilitation and advocacy, focusing on the AfCFTA’s protocols and structures. To maximise the utility and reach of this toolkit, it is essential to produce high-quality printed materials for dissemination across project countries.

Objective
The primary objective of this TOR is to engage a printing house to produce visually engaging, high-quality materials derived from the toolkit. These materials are crucial for empowering trade unions to participate effectively in AfCFTA-related activities.

Scope of Work
The printing house will be responsible for:
Printing the Toolkit: Full-colour, professionally bound copies of the toolkit in English, French, and Portuguese; and Ensure durability and user-friendliness for practical use in workshops and field activities.
Infographics and Visual Aids:High-resolution printing of infographics and visual aids to simplify complex concepts; and Formats will include standalone posters and booklet inserts as specified in the toolkit design.

Templates and Forms
Printing customisable advocacy and lobbying templates, such as sample letters, position statements, and meeting requests, for distribution to trade unions.
Promotional Materials: Create quick-reference leaflets or brochures summarising key elements of the toolkit to enhance outreach.
Packaging and Delivery: Package materials for safe transportation to designated distribution points across project countries.

Deliverables
1. Professionally printed and bound toolkits in three languages (English and French).
2. High-quality infographics and visual aids printed as standalone materials and integrated into toolkits.
3. Advocacy templates and quick-reference leaflets for dissemination.
4. Timely delivery to specified locations, meeting the project’s timeline.

Technical Specifications
Paper Quality: High-grade, environmentally sustainable paper.
Printing Quality: Full colour with sharp resolution.
Binding: Durable binding for toolkits (e.g., spiral or perfect binding).
Sizes: As specified for each type of material (e.g., A4 for toolkits, A3 for posters).

Expertise Required
 Proven experience in high-quality printing of toolkits, brochures, and promotional materials.
 Ability to meet deadlines and deliver materials in multiple languages.
 Capacity to handle large-scale printing and distribution.

Timeline
The printing and delivery of materials must be completed by 12 December 2024, with key milestones as follows:
1 December 2024: Completion of initial print run.
8 December 2024: Review and quality check of printed materials.
12 December 2024: Final delivery of materials to designated locations.

Application Process
Interested printing houses should submit Expressions of interests to hod@ituc-africa.org by 30 November 2024.

Evaluation Criteria
Selection will be based on:
 Quality and relevance of previous printing projects.
 Capacity to meet technical and timeline requirements.
 Cost-effectiveness and environmental considerations in printing practices.
