Dear trade union colleagues in Africa,
On this International Worker’s Day 2021 we want to express our solidarity with the workers movement in Africa embodied by the ITUC-Africa.
We support your initiatives in strengthening the trade union movement in the African countries.
Where possible we will initiate activities to materialize our solidarity with the struggle of the African trade unions.
We want to stand side-by-side in the fight for:
• Improved health and safety at the workplaces
• A more just distribution of COVID-19 vaccines
• Better value sharing in supply chains
• Strengthening worker cooperation in multinational companies
• A just climate change transition
• A respectful migrant policy.
